Hey y'all I'm dipping out of my hometown tomorrow at 6 am so I imagine this will be near my last post. (I might get on my phone briefly tomorrow night at 3 am when I cant sleep haha). But I just really wanted to express my gratitude to everyone who has helped me along the way the past year and a half. Specifically, thanks so much to TN for making everything possible, to Scout for providing actual AD army help, to JAM and Mom3 for all their help about cadet life and admissions, big thanks to AF for being the only current cadet to be a regular poster and answering so many questions, and also to Pima, Bullet, Flieger, CC, Bruno, TPG, Capt MJ and anyone else who has provided great insight into the military life from multiple perspectives. And finally thanks to the other candidates, and goodluck. It still hasn't really hit me that in 48 hours I'll be in the military, and I doubt it will till I actually report, but again thanks to everyone. Hopefully I'll find the time to keep posting as a cadet and give back to the site, cause I was always jealous about how the AFA board had many more regular cadet posters .

As an aside, I'd like to also express deep thanks to those who have contributed to the forums. The info I got from them helped me make the decision to attend WP and has helped me prepare immensely for this summer and school year. I can't wait to meet all my classmates and start this long road to officership. I'll try to post soon after Beast with my experiences/impressions etc. Go ARMY and all the best to everyone.

I was just about to start a similiar thread but figured I would just add it here.

But thank you everybody that has answered my questions directly or who has posted over the last couple of years. Your posts and advice has helped make this process easier to understand and really justified that the choice I made was the right one. Just like BeatNavy said, I am too jealous of the AFA forum and thus will try to post as much as possible once I am a cadet like AF. Thanks again everyone and good luck to all of my fellow classmates of the Class of 2014!

Make us proud!! Be strong, no quitting, and help each other...laugh like crazy (on the inside only!). Can't wait to hear from y'all in August!

Good luck! I've enjoyed all of your posts and wish you well!

No goodbyes, only so long! All the best to you and all of our cadets as you embark on this new challenge! Support each other, stay positive and continue to make us proud!

I agree with MOM3BOYS. The late Jim Valano, former Head Basketball Coach, North Carolina State said, " Don't give up, don't ever give up."

God bless and God Speed to all of you,

RGK

Have fun everyone and keep the forums updated on how everything goes!! Stay healthy and have a safe trip! Forever in my prayers:)

Best wishes to all members of the USMA Class of 2014! We're proud of you and know you will be successful. Keep yourself focused during the summer and the upcoming year and you'll be at recognition before you know it. Parents - congratulations and thank you for raising such fine young men and women and helping them on their path to serving our great nation. We look forward to hearing from many of you when you're back on the net. Many of you benefitted from America's Finest. It's now your turn to do that for the class of 2015. Take care, keep your sense of humor and don't give up! Eat, Drink and Beat Navy!

Well as expected, just over 9 hours till my report time  and I'm wide awake :unhappy:

beat navy: dont worry man, from what i hear R day is such a whirlwind you wont remember most of it.

as a 2015 candidate, i want to send out a hooah to all of the 2014 new cadets. you all have probably had a lot of "attaboys" and "thanks for servings" by now, but you all are very brave and fantastic people in my book.

come back and say hi to us here. we are all rooting for you.

I finish my thanks with this:

"good night, and good luck"

Best of everything to each of you reporting this morning. I can't wait to hear how you're doing and love the idea that you'll continue to contribute to this site as cadets.

Enjoy (?) Beast!!!

:rocket:
