Guys I just wanted to say thank you. I found this forum and the amount of advice I got from here was awesome. I’m the grand aspect of things I will graduate for my university next winter semester so I still have a plan but it did hurt to see that I was not selected. I know there are those who are also hurt by this. However y’all still have great futures ahead of you and I wish you all the best.

The question still remains will I re-apply. Well, I want to but time will tell. Since I will graduate next year I could go to OCS instead however I still think the academy could offer me a second major and a different structure and amazing learning environment. So I am putting in my application because I know at this moment that’s what I want to do with my life. For you this might be different. Weighing the pros and cons is your best option

I wish you all the best in your future endeavors and congrats to those who made the cut.

I apologize for not putting this in the initial statement I meant to. This is my second year! My first year I applied but did not receive a nomination so I fell short there. This year I receive a nomination and had a lot more to offer but was turned away from appointment today.

Sorry to hear Jumpman2023. DS is in same boat , second year , did everything the ALO told him to do to improve app, got non select this morning . Your certainly not alone !

@Jumpman2023 If you want to fly I recommend re-applying. OTS is a gamble to even get in to because it fills in based on the needs of the Air Force after what USAFA and AFROTC bring in and pilot slots from OTS are a rarity.
