Thank you for bringing this to our attention; I've removed that entry. If someone has a source stating otherwise, please let me know.

It seems to be up to each RC whether or not the letter is posted to a candidate's portal.

Could someone tell me what VMI & RPI mean? In the USCGA thread/forum, I read that they are schools that some have been recommended to or received scholarships to. Not sure which ones. I would appreciate any feedback.

Just learned these three, used by USNA (and probably the other branches as well)

    CONUS: Continental United States
OCONUS: Outside the continental United States.
MAGTF : Marine (Corps) Air -Ground Task Force

They are not on the list on page one of this thread.

I think if you have "starboard" (even though it's not an acronym) on the list, there should be "star" as well.
The "star" was the steering oar, always situated on the aft right side of the ship when facing the bow.
When ships tied up to the dock to load and unload (for lading) they tied up to what was then called the "larboard" (left) side - so as not to damage the star - while in port.
"larboard" and "starboard" were sometimes hard to distinguish when yelled from the top of the crow, so "larboard" was changed to "port".

"MC" as it pertains to Shipboard Announcing Systems is the "Microphone Control" (Some will say "Master Circuit", but pretty sure that's wrong).

    1MC - General Announcements
2MC - Engineering (It's louder in the Propulsion spaces, for obvious reasons)
    3MC - Aviators
    4MC - Damage Control
5MC - Flight Deck (Also really loud)
    6MC - Intership
7MC - (on a Boat, it is "Submarine Control")

...and the list goes on... there are a LOT found on Boats that you won't find on surface Ships.

    Google it on urban dictionary.

If you post it here you will violate way too many rules.
