It's almost time for us juniors to start the application process for the class of 2o21, but on the website it is unclear of when I can start. On the News & Events tab it says "The application process for the Class of 2021 will open in January, 2016." But on the Apply tab it says "The application window for current high school seniors and juniors is now open." And on here people have said January 15th, so I am uncertain on when I am able to open my application. Does anyone know if I could open it today, tomorrow, or have to wait until the 15th. Since the SLE is rolling admissions, and I want to finish the application as soon as possible! Thanks!

I have not read the info on usma.edu yet, however, this is general information. For the next class application opening usually takes place after R-Day for the next year. For those who were lucky enough to attend SLE it may open a few weeks earlier for them. Again, please finish your file as soon as possible in the process and also work on Plan B and C simultaneously.

You are able to open your application, BUT you are not able to apply for SLE until the 15th of January.

For plan B, Especially work on your ROTC over the summer. Always an advantage in making the first boards when it comes to getting your number 1 school choice.

@hopenhack By open your application do you mean completing the Candidate Questionnaire? Last time I tried to start it, it said my graduation year can not start it yet (2017)

Same problem, still exists. Current juniors can't fill out the Candidate Questionaire.

+1 Craig.
My DS focused so much on the SA's, that he neglected AROTC and NROTC's earlier boards. He ended up with a 3 year AROTC AD scholarship, but only after he started his freshman year at Plan C college!
