The boating center is a unique facility for The Citadel, and makes the Military College of South Carolina one of a select few academic institutions that have open-water access, along with a multi-million-dollar facility and event space overlooking it.

Thanks to a generous donation, The Citadel is again taking advantage of the Ashley River, bordering tidal basin, Charleston Harbor and more.

As someone who loves sailing and rowing this is a really cool asset.
Does the Citadel have a rowing team that rows from this boathouse? Crew is truly one of the most demanding of sports - and one in which a small college is as competitive as a major one since very few scholarships are given by anyone.
