I'm sure that topic has been broached multiple times, but nonetheless I'd like to address as it affects me personally. I've been accepted to both the Military College of South Carolina and the Military College of Georgia.
I'm a 17 year old senior living in Georgia currently and fully expecting to be awarded the Army ROTC scholarship soon.

Because of that tuition/room and board aren't an issue for me. I'm trying to figure out which institution will be able to benefit me the most in my career as I plan to commission as an MP Officer as soon as I graduate. Please help me out here.

Well first, the ROTC scholarship will make a big difference (instate tuition at UNG vs out of state at the Citadel). So you'll have to see if you get a scholarship, and where the scholarship is awarded to.

Next, I think most SMCs are so similar that really you have to visit both and see where you feel most comfortable. The Citadel is all military students, while UNG has a Corps of Cadets as well as civilian students. The Citadel is in sunny Charleston, while UNG is in the mountains of Georgia. The Citadel has all branches, while UNG only offers Army ROTC.

I had the exact same choice. I spent the night at both and The Citadel won me over. There was just a huge difference in the quality of cadets and the way they do things. People say if you wanna be a good officer, go to UNG, but if you wanna be a great officer, go to The Citadel. Also,The Citadel has a HUGE alumni connection and several traditions. Everyone knows what The Citadel is. Spend the night at both and compare. You will know exactly what I'm talking about.

My DS had the exact same experience in reverse. Spent the night at both places, and easily chose UNG for its no-nonsense approach to training Army officers (and its strategic languages program, which isn't matched at The Citadel).

^^^ Very true, UNG has an amazing critical language program and some intense domestic study programs. I don't go there but I got to meet a couple of their cadets since I am in a similar language program at my school and they were some really stand up guys. If you are interested in a critical language, even if that isn't your planned main major, you should definitely check out UNG's program.
