YUM YUM! 1 of my favorite cocktails...and fresh garden mint...the bestLast Saturday it seemed like a lovely day for a little day drinking. Our 24-year-old daughter and I harvested mint from the garden, and yes, sniffed the mint. Then we 'muddled it' and made perfectly crisp mojitos. So yummy.
The lawn did not get mowed.
I helped my son move into his desert house two years ago and we mowed the weeds and removed the snake skins and killed the ants and protected the lizards. I love those brown desert lizards. Told my wife I wanted one and she said no.nope, we just mow the weeds and during the monsoon, it looks like normal grass!
Ant killing is an annual thing. It requires lots of ice-cold beer. So does mowing the weeds if we get a monsoon. If it's a good one, I have to up the budget for cold adult beverages. One year I mowed 3 times a week! That works up a powerful thirst.I helped my son move into his desert house two years ago and we mowed the weeds and removed the snake skins and killed the ants and protected the lizards. I like the horned toads. I love them-- little prehistoric mini dinosaurs. My kid learned the sad way that they are nearly impossible to keep in captivity (alive). View attachment 8877
How about the scorpionsI helped my son move into his desert house two years ago and we mowed the weeds and removed the snake skins and killed the ants and protected the lizards. I love those brown desert lizards. Told my wife I wanted one and she said no.
It's beautiful.
That's my kind of fun.How about the scorpions
We live on the outskirts of Vegas, in the desert, so we have blacklights and a massive screwdriver in the house and "scorpion hunt" at night, especially in the summer. It's our idea of family bonding
I'm sorry.... sniff the mint???
Me. The Old Fashioned is a classic for a reason.Who wants to ruin bourbon with any unnecessary ingredients?
LMFAO. Every few days it seems I get another email from Yeti introducing a new color.Dear Mr. Yeti,
Please, please, please stop making new tumbler colors like Prickly Pear Pink and King Crab Orange. You see, Mrs Stealth cannot help herself when you do that and I know that within a week of the new release, the UPS driver will be putting another box on my porch. I really don’t dislike your glasses and they’re really nice, but I am out of room for them. I have enough to serve the entire 115th Wing a beverage that will stay cold for 12 hours. Seriously. Enough colors already.

Speaking of dog bowls... I bought a freezable dog bowl for my 2, four legged children because I felt so bad for them after their walks having to drink room temperature water in this Texas heat. So now, as soon as we get home from a walk they go straight to the freezer to remind me they need their “special frozen water bowl“ to drink their ice cold water from to cool down.LMFAO. Every few days it seems I get another email from Yeti introducing a new color.
We have two tumblers, and I have drawn the line. The photo I posted is one I won in a trivia contest, and is my kitchen go-to. Holds 2 glasses of wine at a good temp. The other is one I ordered for DH when Yeti runs one of its free personalization specials, in navy blue, with his initials on one side and USNA ‘YY on the other. That is his house go-to. I have resisted ordering dog bowls. They don’t care.
Still LMFAO at the mental picture of Yetis multiplying at Stealth’s house, in Tribble-like fashion.
This cracks me up. Who has time for refills? And who needs a fancy cork to re cork a bottle? Who are those people ??Because I don’t have time at this very moment for refills right now, prepping the teri flank steak for the grill, prepping the stir-fry veg, keeping an eye on SAF, watching the Nats game, feeding the boxers.
I know Yeti has a cute little wine tumbler. Why?

Answering for a friend, it's good to re-cork a bottle to prevent spills caused by accidentally knocking it over, this is especially true of the second bottle that is uncorked for the evening, not sure why I know thisLet me restate this. Who needs to re cork a bottle? Asking for a friend.
