An army Log-O joins the Marines and will soon graduate boot camp and report to the School of Infantry. Says he felt unfulfilled as an army officer and well, it's in the article.

This however is why the Marine Corps meets its recruiting mission. The title. Oh, and the awesome commercials.

Honestly, I LOVE IT. He wants to claim the title. And if he goes onto commission it's a great PR story. A lot of enlisted will eat it up.

Oh I get that. Maybe he's just paying it forward and wants to know the inner struggle of an enlisted Marine, before becoming a mustang and working his way back up. Mustangs are truly loved in the Corps because they have done every job. It's the math I don't get.

O-3 (with 4 years+) to E-1 = $81,673 to $20,792.
