The Everything Drawer - Everyone has one, right? (post anything - within the rules)

The Boy Scout approach to Covid-19 in graphic form, for 2021. I wonder what this "Behavioral Quarantine" is?

It doesn't matter though, because it is clear to me that twelve (12) 6'-0" x 6'-0" slices of Swiss cheese will completely protect two cartoon people from Covid-19.

My three year anniversary is today. I usually don’t last more than a few months on any site before I get bored, kicked off, or both. I learn a lot here and enjoy interacting with you great folks. If my son knew I wrote some of the stuff I do here he’d murderize me.

Doc, I am glad to call you shipmate here.
🥳Don’t ever go to Tibet again though.

Happy Anniversary Devil Doc!

Three years? It feels like three days.

Underwater.

The American taxpayer trusted me to take a warship to sea and Marines down range without a doctor, lab, x-ray, CT, and MRI.

The county taxpayer trusts me to be locked up with their teenagers all day.

But, in order to get a pad of yellow stickies and a box of paper clips, I had to go through an admin assistant who had the key to the supply closet. It wasn't that easy. She said I had to put in a purchase order for office supplies and couldn't have any of the ones in the closet. Oh, I said, who are those for? For me, she said.

That was yesterday. This morning I stopped at Walmart* on the way in and bought my own.

If a Blue and Gold Officer wants business cards to give to candidates and parents, it is at their own expense AND the supplier
that admissions recommends is very expensive.

Wife has been purchasing classroom supplies for forty some years and that did not bother her. Now that she has three or four different reading group levels and three or four math group levels in one classroom she is going to pack it in. That along with the new constant crap from administration:bang:

I teach in one of the wealthiest counties in the country. I live 25 miles away because I can't afford to live where I work. We aren't required to buy any school supplies but it's usually faster and not too expensive for the little things. We haven't had a pay raise in two years which is not too terrible. I'm doing ok. Just this morning I read that teachers where I live and pay taxes will get a 5 percent pay raise next year. Good for them but come on man, what's going on here?

I just wanted to say that I replaced my serpentine belt and my AC belt on Saturday. It took 17 minutes and cost $24.
For fun, I called the dealer to get an estimate on the same repair. They said that they need to keep it for "a few days" and that it would be $440.
I am clearly in the wrong business.
