The Everything Drawer - Everyone has one, right? (post anything - within the rules)

I find these photos very cooling and peaceful. Imagine yourself in the shade by this pool, the only sounds the fountain’s splash, bird calls and the wind through the trees of the surrounding gardens. The sea horse has webbed hooves!

I took it during a recent expedition to the extensive gardens at Winterthur in DE, one of the du Pont family’s many country estates.408E47B1-5865-489F-B98F-C2E9C725B1D3.jpeg27D7AAA3-0A49-45B1-89A4-455132C168BC.jpeg

I should get out more. Was at NMMC Walter Reed (Bethesda) yesterday. Longest trip I’ve taken in awhile.

The Market is rebounding today, thank goodness. I was getting a little nervous, let me tell you.
It has been a downhill slope since June 28th and I was getting a little woozy like that first time I rode a rollercoaster. :D

Now this is pretty awesome. People get their dogs to run past things that would normally entice dogs to stop, like food treats and toys.
They do pretty well, until you get to the Golden Retriever.

One August at Emerald Isle NC I took a beach chair and some beer out on the beach at night. Great show. Too much light during the night at home.

If I could only go to the ocean one more time it would be to anywhere between Emerald Isle and Cape Hatteras--preferably Shackleford Banks.

Next time you go.

Check your tide tables.

After the tide has ebbed, set up your beach chair and cooler at about 4pm a few feet above where the last wave washes up. I've ended many days at the beach in this fashion.

Be sure to let me know the next time you go there.

This is hysterical. Our golden (may he rest in peace) Lefty would have done exactly that.
