Do you believe that foreign names, such as Alireza, Hussein, Nmadi, Bjork (haha) will face discrimination compared to people like Steve or Ron in fields of Politics and military involvement?

Either you are trolling or want to discuss something you can't discuss outside the forum

Discrimation might be a right way to describe the situation - bias, might be a better choice. There was a study done where researchers sent idential resume for a job with just different names, i.e. Hussein vs John. Resumes with typical Europen names had higher response rate.

Ask Barak HUSSEIN Obama. He was elected President twice, with that name, despite a relatively thin resume. I would rather apply for a job in the US with one of names than any other western country.

Nonetheless, his name and the religious heritage of his father, have been fertile ground for all kinds of insinuations from the most poorly to the most well informed voters. Newt Gingrich tied him to the Mau Mau Rebellion.

If your asking because you have such a name, own it, wear it with pride out of respect for your forebears and use the President as a role model in this case. For all his shortcomings I believe he has handled this issue with much class. I heard him joke once that whoever gave him his middle name never guessed he'd be running for President.
