The Military Feel Good Thread - Post anything

It’s good to be back in the Bay Area. The weekend looks to be out of control with scheduled events. The Blue Angels, flying with the “City” and the Golden Gate Bridge as backdrops and U.S. Navy ships in town for Fleet Week are the headliners. Always a great show by the Blues. Sailors in uniform and town on liberty are sure to get offered a few drinks. To top it off, today, the Giants are playing at AT&T park and the Warriors are playing tonight at home. The business people are ecstatic about the 100k+ people expected to visit San Francisco today and tomorrow. They see $$$$$. Don’t know how the mask wearing will go and I don't expect much social distancing. Go Navy.

I will also stop with the controversial posts so I don't get fired before being assigned my first candidate.

Don't filter yourself... your experience is what makes you important to this Forum !
By the way, I nearly spit out my coffee when I saw the Boot BGO tagline..... :)!

Surely there will be a separate thread on the Marines birthday but here's the annual video from the commandant.

For whatever reason, that one that you posted from DVIDS wouldn't play for me, Senior.
I got audio but none of the video. So here it is on YouTube:

CPO pinning ceremony at USNA last Friday:

I like the one at the end, where they are NOT wearing the masks.
"The greatest bleepin day of my life."

Awesome pics. My initiation and pinning was in Boston. My sponsor the YNC pinned on my anchors. He was so hungover he missed my pre-stuck pin holes. My anchors were all crooked but I didn't care at that point.

Any suggestions for a good Christmas movie?

I'm thinking either Full Metal Jacket or Heartbreak Ridge.

We watched "The Big Chill" last night but if you're really feeling like a Christmas movie, you need go no further than Die Hard, either 1 or 2.
