I just wanted to talk about how interesting this entire process has been for me.
I think it is so interesting how things work out for the best for people. When I first started applying for the academies, West Point was not my number one choice. I started my application with USMA and at first I was not given access to my portal. I thought my chance of going to West Point was slim to none at that point in the late summer, but as the school year around I told my JROTC instructor about what had happened. It just happened that to be that he was friends with the RC from my state. My JROTC instructor knew that I could go and exceed at the academy and he explained this to the RC. Needless to say, my portal was opened the next day. My journey continued as I finished my application. Then the change came as I had my interview with my Liaison officer . Hearing all the stories of his son who went to West Point and what he has done really pushed me toward West Point. The good news kept coming after this as I received my 3Q letter. I then went to interview with my congressman and received a principal nomination to West Point. And now I am just playing the waiting game. I think it is so crazy that at first I wasn't even allowed to start my application to now on my way to appointment.
For those still reading, I just want to say thanks. Post your stories if you have something similar! Maybe we will see each other at the academy in the summer.
