My dd received an email from DoDMERB that she does not meet the DoD medical standards.
She has a MILD allergy to Tree nuts (does not need an EPI PEN) and she had eczema up to a couple of years ago, never prescribed medication.
She called her admissions officer and she said that a waiver was requested so that is a GOOD thing but it is just frustrating. So the roller coaster ride continues

If CGA requested a waiver, they're interested in her. They will request what they need and hopefully she'll be granted a waiver. I hope it all works out.

I had similar things happen MANY times.... it was absolutely a roller coaster.

My DD had a similar issue but was shellfish from a mild reaction when she was about 6 and never had anything since. She did a food challenge and had zero reaction. The doctor's report was sent to DODMERB and she was then cleared. I will say this process took forever and this was pre-Covid so the sooner you get started with the waiver, the better.
