Parent here. Is there such a thing as a last possible date that USAFA will notify of appointment? We thought it would be by end of March. Son has to reply to USMA by May 1, but waiting to hear from USAFA first. He has congressional nominations to both academies.

The waiting game is definitely excruciating!

We are in the exact same boat. DS received two nominations (USAFA and USMA) followed by a USMA appointment back in January. In his case, his first choice is USAFA and he is unsure if his second choice is USMA or an AFROTC scholarship since he really wants to fly (fixed-wing, he thinks). He's humbled to have gotten into USMA so I think he will feel terrible if he turns it down, but he is trying to keep his focus on the military service post-graduation. Lots to consider for a 17 year old! Good luck with the waiting - we feel your pain.

Short answer is no. There may be appoints handed out up to I-Day (26 June)
 
I am also departing the waiting club. I received my offer to attend the USAFA Prep school yesterday at 4:53am (In Georgia). The wait was not fun but I’m glad I finally heard back. Good luck to you all ! (I had no idea I was even gonna get anything at all because of my test scores but hey )

Daughter and I are driving down to Georgia right, now from NoVa, to visit GMC and feel it.
She was welcomed to do formation tomorrow morning...she is looking forward to 7am

Last year I was CQ because my exam showed I had a slight hearing loss in one of my ears. Fast forward to this year and DODMERB had me take a remedial hearing test and found I don't have any hearing loss. I am now Potential Pilot Qualified.
