THE week has arrived....

This is how my portal looks, but it is for EA. I was deferred and am currently waiting to hear back about RD. Is the portal going to change any? Or will both letters (the one from EA and the future one from RD) be under the same CCEB Decision Link? Thanks!

I’m in the same boat as you. I believe it shows up under the same link. I’ve been checking my portal way too much 😆

New to Coast Guard process. So is this the week that official appointments go out to include to those who already receive some sort of early conditional offer?

No. I think this is the deadline for deffered early action and regular decision. For example, my son has an LOA conditional on DoDMERB. The last doctor's appointment 🤞 was Wednesday. We are waiting for the waiver to come through, which will allow him to accept the conditional offer.

The last date for medical waivers to be completed are 15 May. The 1 April deadline is for CGA to make a decision on offers. If you already have a conditional offer, the waiver process is separate.

I was also waitlisted but my friend was offered an appointment today but plans to enlist now. I'm thinking quite a few of us have a good chance although it will be interesting because the waitlist is not ranked, I presume that is to our benefit.

I would love to hear from anyone who has any knowledge of the USCGA waitlisting. Is it possible to request CGAS because I was waitlisted? Please inform me this would help a great deal!

Just checked my portal and saw that I was waitlisted for USCGA. I sent an email stay on the waitlist. Does anyone know how many people will be on the waitlist or if anyone gets taken off the waitlist? Thanks
It depends on the year. In 2020 (for the class of 2024), nobody was taken off the waitlist. But for the past 2 years, quite a few have been taken from the list. Sometimes people are pulled quite late.

The CGAS list is a completely different list. There are applicants that are waitlisted for CGAS as well.

CGA also offers more appointments than they have spots available. They know from past years approximately what percentage of people will accept their appointment. If more people decline than they expect, that is when they would start pulling from the waitlist.

Can someone explain about Prep School admission. Is it a different application process or it's part of the Academy application?

Yes about this, if the waitlist is not ranked how will they go about pulling people off the waitlist?

Just found out DS was waitlisted but he is medically DQ for D155.70: Myopia - refractive error greater than -8.00 diopters (spherical equivalent). The waiver was never requested from WA. (Confirmed with Dodmerb).
Should DS reach out to admission to request a waiver or does it mean it will be automatically requested since he's been waitlisted.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
