A close friend of mine lost her dad this morning to a car accident. He left behind 3 kids, none older than 15. Coming from such a small school and community, a tragedy like this has honestly just destroyed us all.

If anyone could keep the family and my school in their thoughts and prayers it'd be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Wow, I am so sorry to hear of this tragedy. They will be in my thoughts.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the family and the community as a whole.

Sorry to read your post. Often there are no words to comfort; usually just awkward sentiment. I will send my thoughts to you and your friend's family. Your presence will be noticed.

As a military brat, I attended many funerals for my friends whose fathers were killed in Vietnam. Death is part of the military journey as well, but it took a long time for me to understand. A visit to the Vietnam Memorial in DC is always a heartfelt experience for me.

Thanks everyone. He was an elementary school teacher as well.. Today was his first day of the new school year. God's plan is greater than ours, but it's hard to remember that in times like this. Thanks again for the thoughts.

My prayers go out to his friends and family. When we went to the Wall years ago people stopped while I lifted my daughter on my shoulders to make tracings of the names of my friends from the panels. She is currently USMC Captain. Time does heal but we never forget.

Sorry for the loss of your friend's dad. Time is just so precious, and we need to just make the most of our moments with those we care about.
