Time of Appointment/TWE Arrival Tomorrow?

I wouldn't be so sure there will be any communication. You may have to just read between the lines.

Historically portal updates are overnight around 4-5 Eastern. I'm sure it is an automated task on the system backend that updates the candidate portal.

I highly doubt they will send out TWEs for everyone that does not receive a direct appointment by tomorrow.

Just today?? On DoDMERB portal?
No. I asked Mr. Mullen who put me in contact with someone from USAFA. She said that a waiver is not being requested on my behalf. Kinda wish I was notified instead of having to search for the answer but I guess I can understand considering "today's" circumstances.

My DS is also “waiting on waiver”.... not holding breath. His admissions counselor said that if he gets an appointment, one would be requested. Weird, huh? I didn’t thing USAFA did it that way, but that’s what she told him about two weeks ago.

Well.... I got my answer considering I have been denied a waiver. It was a good run am looking forward to the next cycle. Good luck everyone!!

I am waiting too. might be in the same boat as you for next year. We are all in it together

Last year, the big wave of TWEs came out around 4-5 EST the day FOLLOWING the last wave of appointments. I remember some people not receiving one and still in the running though...whatever happens, remember that the non-select letter can be a huge gift of growth and preparation for the strenuous academy life, and that USAFA loves repeat applicants.

About a year ago, someone told me they normally give the Senator/Congressperson a week to inform the appointee if they get an offer of admission before notifying the Appointee directly. Is that still the case? If so, does tomorrow’s 21 April date mean they would send out the last tranche of appointments and rejections? (Meaning the nominating source would then have a week to notify the Appointee?)

Why do you think this is the case?
It exudes everything they want in an officer....persistence, determination, dedication, willingness to become better/stronger after rejection, maturity, growth. I vividly remember my son’s reaction to his dreaded TWE last cycle....”That’s okay, Rejection happens...I’ll be better next year.” And he was, and received an appointment. USAFA wants reapplicants to take a full course load that resembles their doolie courses....and extracurriculars. My son took both SAT and ACT again and improved. I’m telling you, kids that have a year or so under their belt before entering the academy have an easier time. My husband and I both went to usafa, he went to a university for two years before and I went straight from high school. His time to develop was a real gift!
