Time to throw in the towel

My DS USAFA class of 2022 said two of his squamates received their appointment 10 days before I-Day. One is from WV and the other from CA. They had 24hrs to accept or decline. Keep the towel until the final bell. Still hoping for my other DS to get an appointment for class 2024. These are not normal times, so just be extra patient and don't overwhelm your candidate with something they can't control. Stay healthy all!

I am a second time applicant, and my advice is not to count yourself out until you get that rejection letter. Definitely look closely into plan B's at this point, but I have a friend that got appointed the night before all the TWE's went out last year! And even if you don't get in, applying to a military academy is still an invaluable experience for any young adult.

Also, I would add, that enlisting is a pretty good option(plan b) as well. There are a lot of options for education while serving reserve. You might like the enlisted life more than you can imagine.

True, and there are a variety of enlisted commissioning paths. It's not for everyone, but it's a rewarding path for many.
