Hello,
I am applying to USNA class of 2023. I finished my application very early back in October. Unfortunately the rep in my district and my senators have a later nomination period. I received nominations from my rep and a senator late last year. Both of the nominations showed up on my portal earlier this week. I'm wondering if because I completed my part of the application a while ago, if there's a chance I could receive my admissions decision soon.

Don’t expect much rhyme or reason to timing of BFE/TWE. You can finish your part early and hear late, and vice-versa. Most offers of appointment will go out in February and March, some sooner, some later. No point wasting time and energy on when your notification might come.

That's kinda what I was thinking. Thanks.

You could find out any day between now and April 15th. USNA commits to informing all candidates by April 15th. If you look at past class postings on this site, the most amount of appointments are given out from Jan-March.

Agree with the above. Candidates who are selected for the Wait List sometimes wait longer. Hopefully, you have completed your NROTC application and the five civilian schools (plus any other backup plans) who will notify you soon. Don't give up the ship!

Hello!
I am also a candidate for USNA class of 2023. I orginally was applying for the AFA but received a nomination for my second top choice (USNA) instead back at the beginning of January. I completed my USNA application shortly after that. I still have not heard anything back regarding an appointment. So my question is will I be notified if I am wait-listed, or will my portal just read “complete pending review” until I hear something back?

Yes, you will be notified if you are wait listed. If it holds like in the past, you had to actually indicate you wanted to remain on the wait list after being offered it. Very very few come off the wait list (in years past... never know what this year holds).
