Make an effort to watch USNA Midn 4/C Gary Tse go up against MIT and Stanford finalists tonight.

Previous episodes of the college championship are available online. This is great representation for all SA and the quality and competitiveness of Service Academy attendees, and the other SA contestants were good ambassadors. He is featured in local news and Navy/Armed Forces news, and, of course, USNA Facebook and press releases.

Plebe Tse is very calm and articulate, looks sharp in his USNA sweatshirt, and just drills the categories. I don't think Alex Trebek can get over the fact he is a freshman.

Maybe we should all have a Jeopardy clip of him on our phones, ready to whip out when someone comments to parents "your son/daughter is going where?!" - a picture is worth a thousand words to the clueless. [emoji16]

I just hope Gary doesn't forget to "+1" on a daily double or final jeopardy -- to BEAT ARMY!

Same players, carry over today's winnings to final final.

Today 2/24 - second round of final competition, Navy, MIT, Stanford. Let's cheer on Plebe Gary Tse!

DFW area local FOX station did NOT carry yesterday. Not sure about today.

It depends on your zip code and is not always on Fox. It airs on Fox in Baltimore while it airs on ABC in DC and Northern VA. I found online that TXA CBS 21.1 is the station that carries Jeopardy in DFW. It says Repeats air at 5:30pm and new shows air at 6pm.

You have an hour to get your TV dinner ready! :D

Edit: I found the whole two-week series at dailymotion.com. Search "2017 Jeopardy college championship".

Thanks @ktnatalk . Will give it another try tonight.

A great effort by Gary Tse, but the Stanford student carried the day.

actually he just came up empty.
ended with $0
final was
MIT
NAVY
Stanford

CAPT, not again! Lol

Well, sorry folks not on the East Coast. Hope you are not on the forum before the show tonight! ;)

A Plebe (freshman) losing to a MIT Senior and beating a Stanford Junior - not bad! Carry on, MIDN Tse! :thumb:

If he had bet $6,000 in Final Jeopardy, he would have won. He got the final question right, and MIT got it wrong. Unfortunately, he had only bet $4. I wouldn't have bet anything on my knowledge of 17th Century Germans either.

The contestants do quick mental math. It's a lockout after Double Jeopardy tonight (Day 2 of the two-day finals). My guess is that both the Plebe and MIT realized that and that's why they wagered that way. He knew MIT would wager $0 and he could not catch her even by wagering everything tonight, double it, and add to his lead yesterday.

Edit: adding my snail math :D to see what happens had the Mid doubled tonight

MIT: 20400 (day 1) + 20400 + 0 (day 2) = 40800
Mid: 24945 (day 1) + 6600 + 6600 (if doubled on day 2) = 38145

I don't know how I did it, but last night, I was thinking he would have had $42,000 somehow. I guess that's why I'm not on Jeopardy. Sorry for the misinformation.
