Class of 2026 was just accepted into the cadet wing. Best of luck to all in the academic year. To my DS, a firstie this year, I hope all goes well for you for a safe and steady senior year.

USAFA says they will post the video later today on their Facebook page.

My son (USCGA class of 2025) who is home for summer break went to the Springs to watch the A-Day parade in support of a friend and former high school XC/Track teammate who is part of the AFA class of 2026. So glad he was able to be there! Bet it was something to see!

So does the entire class head over to Arnold Hall to consume as much 3.2 beer as stupidity allows? And then walk outside to earn their Doolie Airborne badges?

Or is this one of USAFA’s finest traditions that no longer exist?

I remember the Vice Commandment’s warning message before releasing us to Arnold Hall - ‘Don’t throw up on my carpet’.

(Our class was the first one where carpet was being installed in the dorm rooms)

Back in the good old days, before phones with cameras and social media

Those traditions are sadly, a thing of the past

That was a lot of people dropping from the heat yesterday!
Yes, apparently it was over one hundred. I saw the group of people that passed out lined up on the fence and it sure looked like 100+ people. People were dropping left and right.

Did plenty Change of Commands in Panama and we never had that many drop. Hope the Cadets learn how to relax while at Attention to keep from dropping.
My DS was one that dropped. He said is was a combination of dehydration and a bad night of sleep. He should know better being from TX, but the dry air really takes if out of you.

My DD took a knee also. She was bummed about not marching into her squad. She fought hard but said once everything went dark it was time to call it.

My son did it his doolie year too. Don’t fret, they learn to hydrate better from it. One of the many things they will learn over their four years.
