That’s amazing. You must be one proud male parental unit..Also, I forgot to mention that he applied later for USAFA. The applications were very similar, so he thought he might as well. He is very grateful he did.

Actually, it is my wife's side of the family who have/are serving our country. When my son first mentioned attending a SA, I have to admit I didn't like it. It was unfamiliar territory for me and not what I envisioned for him. I had to do a lot of personal soul searching during this time. I have to say this forum was very helpful and encouraging for me. I learned a lot and it has helped me not to be proud of just my son, but of all the men and women who have/are serving our country. So thank you to all the posters out there. In the proud moments and in the tough moments. That’s amazing. You must be one proud male parental unit..

My DS got his congressional nomination for USAFA but forgot to asked how many applicants are there for USMA and USNA. He was told there’s not that many for USAFA. So is there a way of finding out how many applications each MOC/Senate have ?There are some districts out there where applications are down and efforts are being made to offer qualified candidates as many opportunities as possible.
In one of the congressional districts I cover, we historically average 12-15 USAFA applicants each year. This year they had 3 for USAFA.
It will be interesting to see the application numbers that are published for the C/O 2027 right after I-Day
Unless you ask them, there is no way to know.My DS got his congressional nomination for USAFA but forgot to asked how many applicants are there for USMA and USNA. He was told there’s not that many for USAFA. So is there a way of finding out how many applications each MOC/Senate have ?
My son got nominations for academies he did not apply to last year. He's at USAFA now!How odd that the member of congress would give a nomination for an academy that he is not applying to! I guess this person did not have other people vying for a nomination to USAFA.
They have rolling deadlines so he can start his application and see what deadline they give him. He will have to be diligent to fill out the requirements in a timely manner. And hopefully he can have his teachers fill out their recommendations before the holidays. Good luck to him!
