Too Late To Be Scheduled?

I plan to finish up and submit my Candidate Statements this weekend and have not yet been scheduled for a DODMERB exam. I know this is because I have not completed enough of my application. However, I am worried that I have taken too long and there is no way I will be able to be scheduled before my application is due. Am I too late as far as getting scheduled for an exam?

I should also add that I do not think I will need a waiver, I have no health problems that I am currently aware of.

DODMERB doers not need to be complete by the application due date, but the sooner you get on it the better as it allows more time to clear up any issues.

Once you trigger DODMERB you should be able to call and schedule your appointments. Let them know you are in a time sensitive situation and hopefully they get you in quickly. Our DS did his appts. mid August and was through DODMERB within 3 weeks. Luckily he went through with no further data required. Then just make sure you stay on top of the DODMERB portal and respond to any requests in a timely fashion. Good luck to you.

You’ll be fine. Plenty of time to schedule a DODMERB exam.

If one isn’t available in your immediate area, then there are over 400 other DODMERB-contacted docs (Concorde) with which to get appointed. Maybe you live in northern NJ and the next appointment isn’t until March 2020 (huge exaggeration here), then you can go to Philadelphia or Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

It’s still relatively early in the game. Don’t wait until January though. Technically, you’re still on time but you want to leave enough room for remedials and such. You might think you’re go to go now, but what if you fail the hearing exam? Or the doctor hears a murmur when listening to your heart?

Thank you for your reassurance! So easy to get stressed out during this long process; however, I know it will be worth it.
