I just got a pair of spikes for the mile on the cfa, and was wondering if they would be useful for the shuttle run. I don't know a lot about spike, but I know they will help with the mile, but how about the shuttle run?

Hey, coming from a high school track athlete of 3 years, I'll advise you that spikes will probably not help you in the mile, unless you're essentially sprinting it. I also don't know if you're allowed to use spikes for the shuttle run, but it seems extremely unfair if you were. P.S: Long distance spikes are different from sprinting (shuttle run) spikes.

Cleats

Hi
If you are running on a outdoor track (sponge like surface) I would thank cleats might slow you down as compared to running shoes. My Ds did use cleats for the shuttle run on artificial grass for better traction and it seemed to have been fine. (not sure if it was faster but worked just fine). Coach said cleats would slow my DS down if mile was on artificial grass.
Regards
John

I thought we were supposed to do the shuttle run in a gymnasium? That is what it says in the CFA instructions.
