Training for the PFT...

Presumably you're in high school. Join the cross country team. They started train ing for fall already and that coach will put together a training program for you. I'm not sure if you're male or female but I'd try to exceed goals vs just meet them to be competitive.
I plan on doing soccer, but I'll probably get a decent amount of running that way. I also plan to join track in the spring and maybe winter.

My sons both ran sub 6:30 for ROTC PT. Both got on a tread mill to train and set speed/mph to the time they wanted to hit and then tried not to fall off!
You quickly find out the pace you need and if you have the level of fitness to keep up. Also tons of info on here about not submitting too early. There is really no reason at all to submit for first board.

Unless of course you hope to be considered for a scholarship by the first board. Get your best application submitted by October 14th to be considered for the first board. Good luck!

I am less familiar with with AF ROTC....if awarded do you need to select school/accept scholarship within 30 days. There are a lot of schools that release admissions decisions late in Spring.
