My guidance counselor completed the Candidate Academic Information Assessment, however, there is another spot on the My Progress tab that says High School Transcript. The Candidate Academic Information Assessment was received by USNA, but there is nothing for the transcripts. How do we send transcripts? Does our guidance counselor do it, does the candidate do it, and what way do we send it (online or mail)? I thought that the Candidate Academic Information Assessment would have a requirement for our transcripts.

wondered the same bc you would think guidance submits that too

your guidance counselor will send it. I think my daughter's sent by mail but I could be wrong......she did get a request by email from USNA to send the transcript in addition to the academic info assessment.

DD's high school requires official transcript come from registrar. Registrar, however, would only mail transcripts. Challenge, with this year especially, is you have no way to track when USNA admissions office receives.

We provided the school with a pre-addressed, pre-paid priority mail (flat fee) envelope with tracking number (and a set of stickers with DD name and candidate number).

Worked great - we could track when it was mailed, time in route and when received by admissions.

In passing, I will note that the same process was used for MOCs. Helped big time because one of the envelopes going to a Senator ended up lost in a rural post office (they still cannot figure that out). We had the information to know to send another one before the MOC's deadline.

My DS requested his through Parchment (this is the service his high school uses) and was sent electronically. When he sent electronically it confirms when it is downloaded by USNA. We also requested Parchment to send via USPS. I am unsure if the guidance office sends it without you specifically requesting it.

Interesting. Things must have changed dramatically then. Just a couple of years ago, USNA would not accept transcripts from Parchment or other third-party services. They used to request transcripts directly from the school and no one else.

Yes you are correct as the only information on USNA's website says mail. However he reached out to his admissions representative to ask and they said they can accept electronic transcripts.
