Transferring NROTC Scholarship Concern

My situation is very confusing, as I am currently in a limbo between the dates admissions decisions are set to be released. Basically, I was deferred from a T5 school in the early round, but I was awarded a scholarship early on in the process, so my scholarship is currently place at my early action school to which I was deferred. I was in contact with a LT at my second choice school, that I am yet to be accepted at, and he told me to transfer my scholarship to that school. The issue is that I do still have a chance at my early top choice, so I'm not sure if I should get ahead of myself and transfer right now. My main question is: when I transfer my scholarship, is the original school were the scholarship was initially place notified that my scholarship is no longer at their school. I'm concerned that if I transfer, my top choice school will be notified, and I will ruin any chances I had at being admitted in the regular decision round. Also, from reading past threads I saw that transfer aren't possible without a formal acceptance letter. But, on the transfer form there is box that can be checked that states I haven't been accepted to X school yet, and the LT at my second choice school told me to transfer (and he knew I was still waiting on the admissions decision), so I'm not sure what to believe.

My DS is in the exact same predicament...he will know regular decision soon...mid March. Shouldn't you as well? You have until April 15 to request a change I believe. Why not wait and see decisions before requesting a change?

To answer this question - No. The NROTC unit knows the scholarship was transferred but not the school.

And follow @NEED2KNoMo suggestion.
