Is it possible to transfer the NROTC scholarship after already being in the program at the college the NROTC scholarship was assigned to for a year? I originally planned on attending VMI, it was the first choice on my scholarship list. Instead I was assigned to the third school on my list, which will remain unnamed. The problem is I don't believe the college I'm currently attending is the right one for me. I would prefer something more . . . military and disciplined, aka VMI.
I would to gather whatever intel I can before I confront my Marine Officer Instructor so I don't go up to him and inform him of my situation, just to discover there was nothing he could do. There are to questions I have concerning transferring the NROTC scholarship:
1) As already stated, would it be possible to transfer the NROTC scholarship after already being in the program at the college the NROTC scholarship was assigned to for a year?
2) If the scholarship can be transferred what process do I need to go through? (Besides obviously applying to and being accepted by the school I intend to transfer to)
