Transferring scholarship

My son is at a big university right now, it is his freshman year and unfortunately the academics have been subpar during these covid times. Can cadets typically transfer their scholarships successfully? He is out of state right now ( type 7 but school offers in state ) but thinking maybe coming home and doing the community college here will be a better fit. ( the ROTC unit is cross town )

You did not mention which branch, but I believe all limit the program to 4-year schools. So maybe the cross-town school is an option. You can google for NROTC schools or whatever your branch as and you can at least understand if there is a place to make the attempt.

Sorry it is AFROTC when I searched the schools on the website the community college comes up. So I’m not sure exactly what that means
