Transferring that Scholarship Offer

Congratulations on the transfer. Now that you've been through the process, you'll be the one giving advice.

And what a process it is! I'm sure there will be plenty more of these situations as the years progress, but at least he has a great opportunity now and is so excited to start the next chapter.

I don't know how good I'll be at giving advice, but I can surely share our experience and let people know how we handled it. It's been quite a roller coaster.

Good luck to all, in whatever comes!

As with the rest of us around here the advice will come with experience. IIRC, yours will be of a rare breed - varsity athlete doing ROTC at another campus. It will be interesting hearing about the logistical issues he will face.

Congratulations! Hopefully he will be in contact with cadre and coaches working out the details of potential conflicts between practices/games and ROTC events. The good news is that in my daughter's experience both have been supportive of each other's critical events. I suspect your son's experience will be similar.

Best of luck!

June 1st DS finally heard that his transfer to Penn State was approved.
He's thrilled and has worn only navy and white since, lol.

Just wanted to say "thanks" for all the advice posted here.

FANTASTIC! Since my DS transferred his from Penn State, I was hoping that it made one available for your DS. Not sure if that's even how it works, but either way, hurray! The guessing is finally over.

Congrats to him, and you. :thumb:

Congrats on the recent transfer request approvals! The outcome is well worth all the twists and turns of this process. Best of luck to all as they embark on this new adventure.

Thanks to everyone for posting such valuable information!

Sappel32 – sending you a pm. My DS is also going to PSU.
