Cadets and mids are reimbursed; parents are not. The $ goes into the cadet/mid account. I heard it arrived, but never saw a nickel of it.

No, just the one out at the beginning of plebe summer. All leave flights are your responsibility. If your mid/plebe has to report to a far away place for training, the flights are arranged from the airport closest to the academy. For example, my son will do training in Europe this summer. The flight is from NYC to Europe, not ATL. If he was at home, I would have to get him to NYC. However, sometimes there is flexibility in this...just depends. But for leave, you always pay for the flights. You might want to go ahead and register w/ your fav airlines so you can start getting emails for fare deals.

my husband travels so we have miles banked...but was hoping to be able to save them for PPW and the parents' flights this summer. I'll go ahead and book his one way and ten use miles for me and husband. Thanks!

I would say watch for cheaper flights, but if you are flying him from Singapore, there's no such thing as "cheap flights."
