Triple Q'd But Worried

Did you apply for the Vice Presidential nom? You still have a little while to do so. I have seen at least two candidates get in via that route..
The main reason that you apply for the VP nom is so that just in case you don't get a nom (with an LOA), you can say that you did everything you could to get the nom.
Couldn't agree more. I was amazed at my son's US Rep nomination interview how few of those candidates bothered to apply for both our Senators nominations. I have no idea whether they applied for the VP nom.

I think if you review the progress of this particular thread you'll see that it started off with a discussion of where to get a nom and then whether the "chances" of getting a VP nom were at all realistic to somehow everyone should apply to all noms if for no other reason than it shows you are making every possible effort. Three different issues and all valid. That said..your actual chances of receiving a VP nom would seem to be substantially less than getting a Senatorial nom in the most competitive state in the USA.

With all due respect, the reason you apply to every nominating source for which you qualify is not for appearance sake but to minimize the potential that you do not get a nomination. It is the same reason you take the SAT and/or ACT exams until you satisfy yourself that you have gotten the best scores you can. The same reason you do your absolute best on the CFA, and so on. These are things successful candidates do.
