Hi all,

Playing the waiting game with USNA right now. My application has been completed for several months now and I just recently received my congressional nomination. DodMERB is still processing my medical exams but I expect to hear back that everything is fine shortly. When I am officially qualified medically, am I triple Q'd? Will I receive some sort of letter telling me about qualification? For what it's worth, I have not received a LOA, nor do I expect to receive one. Any kind of input would be very comforting and helpful.

Thanks.

3 Q'd

BGO's have been advised by the Admin Office NOT to disclose if/when an applicant is Triple Q'd. You will not get any kind of confirmation from the admin Office. I know it stinks but it's the rule. It's a waiting game at this point. Just continue with Plan B and C. Good news, it's only a month until the Official Board starts processing applications.

You can contact your RD regarding whether you're 3 Q'd. Not sure if they will tell you but, as the official source, they are permitted to. Even if they won't tell you (I don't know the policy regarding what they are allowed to say), you can always ask if there is anything else you can do at this point to improve your package.

BGOs are explicitly told not to inform candidates of status because, quite frankly, it can change. Thus, please don't ask your BGO as you put him/her in a very uncomfortable position.
