Unfortunately, I received my TWE a few weeks ago due to Color Deficiency. On the webportal, it says I would have received a letter describing more details, but I never did. Should I try to reapply again for the class of 2025? I heard waivers for CD are very slim.

Spencer, Mr. Mullen can give you all the technical details, but my common advice on Color Deficiency is that it makes an already competitive process even more competitive. Color blind limits your opportunity for service as a Line Officer in the Navy (Surface, Subs, Air and other fields). The Mission of USNA is primarily to develop Line Officers, so naturally Color blind is disqualifying. USNA does have the ability to grant waivers, but they are few and far between. (I've seen numbers bantered about here from time to time, without verification ..but something like 10-15). The bottom line, unless you are a superstar, reapplying is a long shot.

Agree with Old Navy. USNA has a limit of 2% of an entering class that can be colorblind. That's about 23 mids. However, they typically accept about half of that. So you're competing for one of those 12 spots. A handful of those likely go to blue chip athletes, which reduces the number even more. So, not impossible (A1Janitor's son did it last year), but difficult.

I never want to discourage someone from reapplying but you do need to be realistic. You might consider USMA or USAFA, as their requirements for color vision are not nearly as stringent as the sea-going services.
