TWE

Ugh! Such a sad day. Anyone from the west coast receive a TWE? If not, DS may be a day behind.

We know several Massachusetts kids who received their TWEs the past few Saturdays so my DS is dreading the mailbox tomorrow after reading about all the TWE posts on this forum today. I'm afraid tomorrow may be another TWE posting day for those of us who are simply "a mail delivery day behind". I hope not…but trying to accept the brutal reality of this process. :bleh2:

We received the dreaded TWE today. We are from Southern California. I wish my DS was active on this forum. He would realize he is amongst great company. He is hurting pretty badly. Don't quite know how to console my boy who is now a grown man.

Heartbreaking! I'm so sorry. What's his Plan B?

So sorry for the big TWE count today. I am sure everyone's plan Bs will be blessed to have all of you. You are all strong, wonderful people who I know will make a difference in the world. Getting this far is a huge accomplishment. May God bless everyone as you move forward.

I cannot stop crying as I'm reading all the TWE posts today. I am not sure what I am going to do when the inevitable arrives in our mailbox. And Kaaron, I agree…this forum has been so helpful knowing that we are all sharing the same feelings of angst. I hate thinking about your DS hurting so badly. I will look back to see if you posted his Plan B, but if you didn't, please share...would love to hear about it.

That's a great Plan B! Fingers crossed for WP too!!

If DS receives a TWE he'll be attending USD's NROTC program. Where in SoCal are you from?

DS's plan B is UT at Austin. Going for the NROTC college program. He was denied the scholarship earlier this week. He has received numerous rejection letters from colleges this week. It has been quite a wake up call for him. A big lesson learned.

Today is the dreaded day. Nothing has ever looked as depressing as that small envelope. I was hoping that I could survive crucifixion day. I sympathize with everyone else here, and I will be going to UC San Diego pursuing my dreams as a Marine Corps officer. Good luck ya'll.

Justice, if DS receives the dreaded TWE (expecting it tomorrow) he'll be at USD's NROTC program. It'll be nice for the two of you to meet.

KLS-SC…your note made me cry instantly. I hope when/if the TWE arrives, my DS is the one to pick up the mail. I will be thinking of you and please let us all know what his plan B is. I bet it will be perfect for him.

@JTGib13 Plan B is to attend The Citadel with full scholarship. Plan C is Clemson....but I am sure he will choose Plan B once this sinks in. Will be looking and praying for your BFE post!

Both are GREAT options!! I am sure he will be amazing at either! Thank you for the prayers and I will post the good or bad news...

TWE received by DS last week (Northern California). He is certainly disappointed but at the same time he was bracing himself for this. Plan B (The Citadel or UNR) it will be, but we are still proud of all he has achieved. Thanks to everyone's advice and support here. This is a wonderful resource.
