Anyone get to see the show on Discovery Channel - about the Two week selection camp(sfas) for green berets. It looked like a BCT on steroids - pretty intense.

Yeah, right.
Any SA BCT and SFAS should not be mentioned in the same breath. The class leader, Peter (the one who got caught dozing) is my USMA classmate.

A portion were. Peter and the other guy you see briefly after the last event, Steven, are my classmates. But it's about a 12:1 enlisted to officer ratio.

That was an incredible episode. Insane is right. These guys were animals for even wanting to go through that. As I recall, about half (?) who completed the training (and a good number of them didn't) were ultimately judged not fit for the program. Some said they'd come back and try it again!
