April 15 is fast approaching and we have been back-and-forth with DoDMERB with regards to medical records for a disqualification . Currently his status says Under DODMERB Review. If his status still says awaiting medical waiver will he be told from the Academy on his portal system if he is rejected or accepted. Or since he still awaiting a medical waiver it doesn’t need to get to that step. Our DS is still holding out since he hasn’t heard either way

The academy will give out decisions by April 15 th. If considered competitive then waiver will be issued. Waiver clearance time line will be a long wait after April 15

A lot of misinformation in this statement... USNA's objective is that most applicants will hear by April 15. It does not mean that all will hear
Competitive candidates are considered for a waiver, if the particular condition is waiverable (Some conditions are simply not waiverable)
If waiverable, the waiver can be granted immediately or can take further information...

All you can do is be patient and respond promptly if additional information is requested. Candidates will be informed of status as soon as it is determined.

Thanks for further clarification

We are in the same boat for Navy and Air Force Acad. Our DS is "Under Waiver Review" I don't have answers, but you are not alone!

He is actually still under DODMERB REVIEW as we sent in additional medical records when he received 2 DQ one which we expected and one that was a condition that he never had. He is worried that he should have left it as Under Waiver review.

Just hoping for advice Monday is April 12 and as of Friday it still says Under DODMERB Review. My concern is if it doesn’t change to a decision before April 15 will it affect admission, he is in rebuttal for heat related injury

Operative term is "MOST" will hear by April 15. some won't -- a Candidate is in the running until they hear otherwise.
