My son’s been Under Waiver Review from DODMERB since March 7th. A message back said 7-14 business days, but we’re a month out now. Received his appointment in December with a Representative and Senatorial Nomination. Any advice on who to contact about waiting on the waiver review?

You mean received his nomination from those sources?

If he is under waiver review, I assume he hasn’t received an offer of appointment?

Same question as above. To clarify, he received two nominations? Or he received a conditional appointment? Just a note as it is a frequent misunderstanding "Under Waiver Review" on DODMERB doesn't mean a waiver has been requested. You would have received a letter from the academy for that. If you clarify - maybe those on the board can provide better feedback.

Thank you for asking for clarification. Yes, he received his appointment in December, then medical disqualification about a week later. Received a waiver request in January, submitted all paperwork and that paperwork is under review from DoDMerb. USAFA has sent his Appointee Booklet.

I never understand USAFA. I hope the knowledgeable people on this site explain this.

Did he receive an offer of appointment or an offer of a conditional appointment? Is a conditional appointment more like an LOA or a full appointment?
