So I'm currently a contracted MS II. I'll make this short I'm an Aerospace Engineer with a great Major GPA, and I found some very interesting Internships that neither my Cadre nor Battalion Staff know anything about. Our Cadre are putting a inquire to Cadet Command to find out more information about it. These internships sound amazing, but some seem very weird..in a good way. Like a prerequisite for some is before yo start your application you have to have a Top Security Clearance..which cadets aren't even allowed to have. Just wondering if anybody heard anything about this or done any of these. I'll post the link below.

I know for our DS when he was AFROTC he started his TS clearance as a 300 (MSIII equivalent). The paperwork even says priority goes to IIIs.

A TS takes about 6 months to process for a full one. I don't know how long an internship one takes. I know that it is @60 pages of questions and at least 3 people will be interviewed by phone or in person by a govt. agent. Those interviews last about thirty minutes. You also need to make sure there are no blanks in your life. For example, you go home during the summer. You need to show what you did during the summer. I.E. School 9/13-5/14 . Worked 5/14-9/14. School 9/14

Yup...those internships exist. Apply for the one's you qualify for. We sent a Cadet to the Army Science Board internship a few years ago, and we routinely send Cadets to the Engineer Internship Program. Great opportunity. Get on blackboard and enroll in the CPDT course to get more information and find out how/where to apply.

My son is applying for one of these. He just finished round 2 of his security clearance paperwork. I don't know how many rounds there are. I just know I was called upon to help with full names and addresses of some of our relatives and exact dates for our residences. I think all of the MSIIs have started the security clearance process. From what I understand these internships are very competitive so it may be a long shot but cool if you get one.
