Was rejected to a school that I planned on attending with a 4 year scholarship, but with that not working out what other great programs are out there? I am sure there are many other threads regarding this, but I just wanted a quick insight into a great education, location, and AROTC program. Sorry for the spamming of posts as well, just stressed with things not going as planned.

What's the issues with the plan? Do you have a scholarship?

What's important is finding the right college fit for you and then the AROTC program part will fall into place. I you find a school that's not a good fit, your grades will suffer and so will your AROTC performance. I suggest you search out the college that works for you that has an AROTC program.

No one here knows you. How in the world could we make sensible college recommendations? We don't even know where you live.

If you haven't been awarded an AROTC scholarship, the school selection process will be the same but financial considerations will obviously have more import.

Look for some recent posts by @Montana State Army ROTC describing their program and encouraging scholarship holders to check them out.

I know it sucks right now and it might be hard to accept it, but it's over. All you can do now is move on.

Take a break from the forum for a couple days. Get out and do something with your friends. Remember the good stuff and make memories.

College doesn't make or break your life. Your education is what you make of it.

As a kid, I understand the pressure you feel to perform at your highest peak, but don't let it get to you. Have fun.

Good luck!

your other posts say you were awarded a ROTC scholarship. That is awesome, congratulations! What schools was it awarded to? I would think that the schools on your application would be the best place for you to start. Even though you may not end up where you “planned”, you will end up at the right school for you. Many kids don’t end up at their first choice school for many different reasons.

I'm a bit confused. Aside from colleges with rolling admission, you would seem to be stuck with whatever schools you have been accepted to. If any? If none, apply immediately to any available and compatible school.

You mention your stats and BC (and SAs) in other threads. I don't want to be Debbie Downer but you would seem to be a long shot at BC absent an unusual talent (music, sports, etc). But you only hit the balls you swing at so...

So, hopefully you have applied to some safety schools where you can use this scholarship.

If I understand you correctly, you have an ARTOC scholarship but did not get into the college you wanted. Is that right? Did you apply to others? What is your status with those? If you are looking to apply to other schools at this stage, here's a link with schools still accepting applications:
2020 College Application Deadlines What colleges are still accepting applications?

Correct. I have some reaches, schools I meet stats with, and safeties. Might look at more schools with later deadlines to go for schools that pay room and board for cadets.

1. Accept the scholarship
2. Wait until you have received all your college acceptances
3. Of those colleges, decide which college you like best
4. Submit your acceptance and make a deposit to attend the four-year college or university of your choice by the National College Decision Day

Army are tied to the school(s) specified in the award letter. If he has been accepted to none of them, then yes, I suppose accept it (at one of them) and request to transfer it. If he has been accepted to a school listed in the award offer, it may be more difficult to transfer. I think?

Contact Cadet Command( the unit at the school you were rejected from) assuming that was designation in your AROTC scholarship acceptance letter. Ask them for guidance for next steps.
