update extracurriculars after submitting?

hello! I was wondering if I was able to update my extracurriculars/awards list on my application after I submit it. Thank you!

My DS received the following on inquiry to upgrade his profile:

Please keep in mind that once your portal opens, and your Candidate Activities Record (CAR) is submitted, any updates will have to be verified by a counselor or coach. If you have one or two simple additions to your file, please have your counselor or coach e-mail the admissions office directly so your file can be updated. Make sure the e-mail has the years in sport, number of Varsity Letters and if you are/were captain.

Example… -3 years of school soccer – 3 years lettered, 2 years Captain
3 years school club president

Here are some examples of when to update your file: Leadership Positions (Student Body or Class Pres., VP, and Secretary); Athletics (participated in a new sport, earned another varsity letter, elected as team captain, or competed on a State or National level); Employment and Volunteer work; or any academic award received during the school year. Please remember this will save time and e-mails later on in the cycle. It’s a good idea to SHARE this along with bullets 4 and 5 with your counselor.

Thanks for sharing the info. So to make I understand correctly. We are preparing for class 2025.

- once the portal, are their different sections for each category? Academics section, CFA, personal data, medical, EC. So an applicant can cherry pick and start filling up any section they want to fill up and submit if they think they have all data? Reason I am asking that for my DD some EC accomplishments will come in after oct 2020. So I should not start EC and make partial updates unless I want go thru emails with WP counellor or verify by coach/school counselor later?

...portal is open until WP locks it (believe it was on 1 July 2019 for class of 2024); up until that point, you should be able to make changes toy the profile data.

So my question is it better to have full info for submission in a section or keep making updates? Based on your OP, any updates to EC section need to be verified to WP by HS official ( emails etc)
