Update of application

For background updates (my son recently earned an honor he now wants the application to know about, but his application has been submitted), who do the candidates contact?
 
He could contact his Admissions Counselor and ask. I don't know if it is possible to update his file on accomplishments or awards, but whatever it is should be pretty major, if he's going to ask the question.
 
My son had the same situation - he contacted his admissions counselor, who said that if he sent him the updated information, he would make sure that it got appended to his application. In my son's case, he updated his resume with the new award and emailed it to the admissions counselor as suggested.
 
DS had won a couple national academic awards this summer/early fall. He waited to find out his status on the fall award, and then sent an email to his Admissions Counselor about the 2 awards. She said to have his Guidance Counselor send her an email naming the awards, and she'd gladly update his file (and congratulated him on the awards).
 
I spoke with my Admissions Counselor on this same topic. It has to come from the HS guidance counselor because the Candidate Activities Record was verified by the HS counselor.
