Within 9 minutes of submitting the measurements done by DD’s doctor, admissions responded with an “over the limit” and if she’s competitive enough for an appointment they’ll consider a waiver. Anyone ever dealt with this before?
Thanks!

I'm afraid of this the most in all honesty. I know I'm overweight, in lbs and both body fat measurements.. My body fat right now is at like 28%, I recall I need to be at 24%... I've been working to lose it, I just hope they don't DQ me for it immediately...

The standards for body fat percentage for USAFA is 18% for men and 26% for women. Hopefully your DD is near those numbers or competitive enough for that waiver! Good luck!

I have a feeling it was an automated message that came back after DD submitted her measurements. The response came back with in 5 minutes and she was off by one sixteenth of a percent! She Sent a message to the admissions team if that will help at all.

Umm - it’s very likely that’s exactly what will happen. 28% is way, way, way over the limit. Unless you are a recruited football lineman, ask yourself why they would admit someone who is so far outside the standards? Have you taken the PFE yet? Carrying that much weight will make it very difficult to pass, unless you are in tremendous shape despite your excess body fat.
