I emailed my regional admissions counselor an update to my profile. Yesterday I was hired to a job, so I tried to submit this before the deadline on Saturday, including the contact info of the employer within the email. Will I receive a confirmation email about updating my profile?

I did every time I sent an update. Keep in mind that they are likely getting slammed with updates right now, so it may be a few days before they confirm the update.

Not sure how this is exactly going to help your application, as it stands, anyhow. The Admissions Board is going to review the files within the next 1-2 months and the information they are evaluating you on did not happen while you were participating within this job. Even so, at the most it is 1-2 months. IMHO, I would not sweat if you hear back or not -- I really don't think this new information would sway the board one way or another.

I'm not sure I quite understand. The resume you send in is due by January 31. This includes all activities and extracurricular you do which includes jobs. Why would this not be reviewed?
(My profile was confirmed to be updated by my BGO this afternoon)

I think that usnabgo08 is trying to say that the job that you just started yesterday will not have any impact on your overall application. The board will review you on the activities that you actively participated in over the past year or so. The one's that you just started and don't have any experience or repertoire with will probably not be taken into consideration.

Alright that makes sense. Thanks for all your input.

Exactly -- it isn't just about "checking the boxes" that matters, which is why you constantly hear Admissions and BGOs saying that you have to make your activity meaningful (leadership, normally being a key aspect). You just haven't had that opportunity yet (with the job) and by no means is it a bad thing that you got a job!
