Hello all,
I am a congressionally nominated USMA 2019 hopeful from CA (female)! I am also a recipient of a 4-year AROTC scholarship (which I accepted in order to meet the 12/5 deadline). My academics, extracurriculars, and leadership potential are very strong.
All the parts of my application are completed, reviewed, turned in, etc. except for my CFA. I took it at the SLE in June and passed all events with flying colors except one: the basketball throw. I have watched every video, read every blog entry, and worked out with a trainer 4-5x per week for the last 2+ months. Unfortunately, I do not seem to be improving much.
My CFA is scheduled for December 10 (Wednesday) and I am looking for any last minute words of encouragement or advice or tips.
For all who are curious: Yes, I practice the basketball throw 3 times per week as well as train my legs, core, and arms. I am extremely athletic (xc and track) but am struggling with this awkward event.
Thanks!
