How can I go about proving to the DMV, when I go renew my driver's license, that my place of residence is @ USAFA?

All of the suggested proof of current address (as seen on the colorado.gov website here) don't have my residential info; my address on these documents is simply my PO box number.

Can I proceed in renewing my CO license using a USAA credit card statement w/ my PO box info on it?

My daughter just took her most recent transcript to the DMV when she registered her car. If you go in uniform, you can go to the head of the line.

What are the advantages of a cadet changing their driver's license from their home state to CO?

I don't think anything. The above link states that AD military do not have to switch to a CO license, so unless you want to pay the $21 fee, I don't see why you'd transfer it.

You're gonna have to surrender your current out of state license, pass an eye exam, get fingerprinted, and pay $21. For the proof of residence, take a copy of the letter that USAFA sent you in your portal where it has your mailing address.

I am just curious why the desire to switch state DLs at all?

Most if not all states have a military caveat, where you do not have to transfer your DLs. Bullet in his 21 years of ADAF, switched his license once. It was to AK from NJ, after 8 years of services, and only did so to claim residency for the permanent fund and no state taxes.

Our DS still has his NC license, and will now only be switching to TX after living there for 18 months because he will now be stationed for his 1st operational tour in TX.
