If I have new information to add to my file, can I just email it to my RC, or is there another way I should get it uploaded? For example, National Merit Finalist, participation in school musical, giving a speech for NHS, etc. Would any of that have a bearing on my file?

There is a document upload area on the WP Candidate portal. My son uploaded documents and updated information in that manner, however his profile information did not change.

Along the lines of updating file, DD just was awarded a 4-yr national AROTC scholarship on second board. Does anyone know if this is something that USMA will be or should be aware of? Not sure if it has any significance in the WCS system (national/government awards are listed on CAR), but want to be sure any and all updates that should be are sent prior to deadline. She is on competitive slate so we were told these, for the most part, would be handled after the close of application. It's hard to know what is pertinent and what is not in this crazy process!

If I were you, I would have his school counselor either send an email to the RC or sign and send in a physical copy of the application updates to ensure that it gets added and factored into the WCS.

Actually, it will need to come from your guidance counselor if you want it to be added to your profile. You will want him or her to email it directly to your RC and more importantly to the RC Technician...The RC might be travelling but the admissions tech is there doing important work every day.

My DD added being named Captain of two sports by emailing the coaches with the RC on copy and asking the coach to confirm the content of the email. This made it easy for the coaches at her school to just hit reply and confirm the information. The same approach would work with others school employees as well depending on what you are adding.
