US Marine using hand sanitizer in an orderly, efficient, military manner ....

I was very moody with my roll. If I was having a good arm day or week I would make it tight.

If I didn't particularly care I would wear a Gunny roll and let it flop around my elbow somewhere. That usually coincided with being a week or two overdue for a haircut.

I miss the starched covers with some swagger built into the bill.

yep, new-fangled Marines don't even have to shine boots anymore

Wait...WHAT???

Should have seen the look on my daughters face when I told her we had to do laundry by hand... with Whisk and a scrub brush... on a large concrete table between the squad bays and hope no one stole your cammies, blouse or socks when hanging on the line. My days at MCRD San Diego still cause me to flinch sometimes!

But hey!!! You upgraded, you modernized, the modern Marine!

You dumped the Springfield for the Garand!
