This may be lame, but we are arriving in COS on June 20. I plan on having a few cocktails, my wife plans on crying a lot, and my DS plans on not being affiliated with the first two mentioned. We'd be open to having an impromptu get together before I-Day if anyone's interested. My only itinerary item left unchecked from last visit is completing the Incline. Wife and DS did it and I had an epic fail....

If we do get together, I'll buy the first round...

Doesn’t sound lame at all! We arrive on the 22nd. Do you belong to the USAFA 2025 parent group? Several on there have mentioned doing this....😊 and I will be drinking a few and crying!

That is hilarious, because that is *exactly* the plan my wife, me, and our DS have! To a tee. . . . .
The drinking part or the self-inflicted pain part of the Incline? Or both? We'll be staying at the TownePlace Suites, Garden of the Gods, and I'm sure they have an outdoor patio/grill gathering area where we could meet & greet in a socially distant, non-gender biased, politically correct sort of way. I'll still buy the beer....

Would love to meet fellow members of the SAF family!! Similar plans for us, except we sometimes forget to pack the box of political correctness, especially since airlines charge extra for luggage.

My wife is getting on the Facebook page soon and we are planning on a get-together at the TownePlace Suites, GotG, on the 22nd around 6pm. some beer, wine, and snacks will be provided....

This thread and it’s “attitude” and mindset make me wish my kid was incoming USAFA instead of 3/C USNA. You guys have the right attitude and mindset to handle the next steps and the sense of humor to get you through the rough spots.
Slainte!!!!!

FYI: The USNA NJ Parents club has long organized a "Last Supper" in Annapolis the night before I day for candidates and their families.

Dang can I be an honorary member? Not to disparage our parent club. It’s awesome. Just had our first event post Covid. I just haven’t had the opportunity to do these things yet. Looking forward to our daughters visit to the yard to see her Mid brother this summer and my visit for the Air Force game in September.

So, my wife is Amy Gallimore McCabe on the C/O 2025 FB page. We'll post there any other ideas or plans. I guess some are advocating the Flying W Ranch on the 23rd? Either way, info will be shared via that FaceBook thingy....

Would love to meet up with some from the SAF family, we have a schedule conflict for a different group event.

Incline complete. Apparently organizing an impromptu get together is harder than it appears. We'll be at the outdoor grill area of the TownePlace Suites Garden of the Gods on Centennial tomorrow, 22Jun, at 4pm for a little wine, water or beer and socializing. Simple stuff. I don't even know if our DS will show. Either way, I'm going to drink a beer....
